Wirral South MP Alison McGovern will be celebrating National Dignity Day on Saturday 1 February by inviting people to join her for tea or coffee at Bebington Civic Centre between 12 noon and 1:30 pm.
The event will provide an opportunity to talk to Alison about changes in the provision of care locally as well as about Dignity Action Day, which aims to promote zero tolerance of abuse and disrespect of adults in health and social care services. The campaign has the backing of well know TV personality Dame Joan Bakewell, who is a Dignity in Care Ambassador.
Alison would like to hear views and experiences of providing or receiving care in addition to sharing information about current and proposed changes to the delivery of care arising from the Government’s Care Bill currently going through Parliament. Information about changes that Alison has called on Wirral council to make for the improvement of care services will also be available.
People are welcome to call in at any point between 12 noon and 1:30 pm at their convenience when Alison looks forward to talking about respect and care for those who rely on care services.
