Make fair transitional state pension arrangements for 1950’s women

The Government must make fair transitional arrangements for all women born on or after 6th April 1951 who have unfairly borne the burden of the increase to the State Pension Age (SPA). Hundreds of thousands of women have had significant changes imposed on them with a lack of appropriate notification

Goal: 74 signatures

I was born 1/10/58 & did not receive my notice of my State Pension date until September 2013. I will not receive my pension until I reach 66.

I have been denied a pension at 60 which I would now be receiving. Not only that, but access age 65 was then rapidly extended to age 66… Expecting people who have paid into a pension all their lives with the expectation of accessing it age 60 to then accommodate an extra TEN PERCENT of life at work is quite simply iniquitous.

Have worked the majority of my life since age 15. Never claimed anything off government. Now have an 8 years shortfall to get full pension unless i find thousands of pounds to pay into it. Feel very unfairly treated and yes, unfortunately very bitter.

Born 17.10.53 if I had been born 5.4.53 I would have retired at 60 instead I will be nearly 65 so 5 years for the sake of 6 mpnths. This is to much in a short time. I was never informed personally and certainly didnt know of the second inctease until recently. 😇I am living off my savings in the mean time. Contract broken. 499 years full NI. I was finished on ill health after 2 lots of major surgery A brain tumour so brain surgery and a kidney tumour so again major surgery. Never in my working life been off sick. Never claimed benefits. Let down by the system.

I am October 1953 lady who has paid 48 Years full stamp. I was finished work 2016 on ill health until which i had worked 32 years for local government until I had a brain operation and a kidney operation within a short time and it took 2 years to recover. Until then I had never been off sick. Not my choice I am living off my savings at 64 when I should have been receiving my state pension. I was expecting it at 62 due to 1995 change and was never informed otherwise. This is so unfair. A contract broken. We should be allowed to take it at a teduced rate with an amount of compensation. All the MPs who support us thank you.

I have been robbed of my state pension. Six years more to wait with under two years notice. Disgusted with the rule changes.

I am a nurse and just about to be made redundant. I am 61 and have been working part time due to some limiting medical problems. I now have to work until I am 66. All the vacancies I have looked at are full time or 12 hour shifts which I am not able to do, I am not hopeful of getting another job. I was so looking forward to retiring at 60 and using my skills for charity work.

I was born in 1954 and will be nearly 66 before I get my pension but only found out around 2 years before reaching retirement age of 60. Now my husband is retiring in December at age 65 and will only get the state pension for himself, we will therefore be losing over £600 a month and I do not get my pension for nearly three years now, my husband is now seriously considering having to work on until I reach retirement age, this is not fair to him and I would think there are a lot more couples in this situation.

I’m a 1950s woman who has lost out on thousands of pounds due to the Gov putting my pensionable age back twice and the second time was too late for me to do anything about it. Now I am penniless relying on my family to help me out
