I’d like to thank those who turned up to the Lady Lever Art Gallery on Friday night to discuss how we take our new Port Sunlight River Park forward.
There was a great turn out and the meeting was very productive with some very useful questions being asked.
We will now aim to establish a committee and continue to meet to develop the park to address some of the issues already raised.
At the meeting I talked about the importance of community involvement and of forming a committee of willing people who can form a group to represent the park.
I know that local people really do care about its development and that there has been good use made of the park since it opened. We are still in a relatively new phase and that is why we now need a group of people to help move it forward.
It was lovely to see support in the form of offers to volunteer with the day to day running of the park and people putting themselves forward for a role on the committee. I will be organising a meeting for committee members shortly.
The community spirit around the park will be very important as we progress.
Remember if you couldn’t attend the meeting but you are still interested in a role in the park to contact my office on 0151 645 6590 or email email@example.com
