Early Day Motions I sign these motions’s to express my support for their particular topic. If half of the house signs an EDM, then the motion can be debated. |

Private Members’ Bills These bills are an important way of getting the issues important to me on the political agenda. At the beginning of each session, a ballot is held and 20 MPs are selected to introduce legislation. The top six MP’s are given time to have their proposals discussed in the House. If there is enough support, these can be turned into law. |
