New volunteers welcome to come along to Port Sunlight River Park Friends meeting on 21 May

Alison McGovern MP to hold next Friends Group Meeting for Port Sunlight River Park

Following her re-election Alison McGovern is set to hold a meeting for the Friends of the Port Sunlight River Park and will be extending an invitation to the meeting for any new potential volunteers who would be interested to find out more about opportunities to get involved.

Alison said: “It is a privilege to be re-elected as the MP for Wirral South and I would like to say thank you for the support that has been shown to me during the election campaign.  Now I want to get stuck in to my constituency work here in my hometown and continue with my involvement with our wonderful river park. The meeting will be a chance to discuss what we have been working on so far and to hopefully recruit more volunteers. We already have a dedicated team who work hard to look after the site but we always welcome more people to come together as a community and get involved with the site’s development. We have an exciting event coming up on Merseyside with the arrival of the Three Queens and the River Park provides a great viewing spot. I look forward to talking about this and more at the meeting.”

If you would be interested in attending then please RSVP to helen.dodd@parliament.uk or call 0151 645 6590.

The meeting will be held at the Lyceum in Port Sunlight at 7PM on the 21 May.
